My family always asks me what I want and I’m both very particular, easy to please, and not ever bothered by what they give me. I do try to keep a running list of things I would like in various price points so there is no reason to be be worried that there is something no one can afford. This year, with not some major idea (although I may want to build a new computer soon), I think it would be cool to share the black owned brands and items that would make great gifts for me. I’m game for a list, and I figured why not share with the people so that you all can also see the things that are top of mind for me. Hopefully this can also inspire you to incorporate Black Owned Brands into your Holiday celebrations this year as well. Hope you enjoy and as always, check out all of the great listings in our directory for more.
Lawrence and Larimer is a Denver, Colorado based black owned apparel company and I just like their classic design style and the logo. Their tees and sweats are top notch quality wise and are classic so they won’t go out of style.
Carrots is one of the brands that is popular in the streetwear game. This collab with Trill burgers is a great way to see two strong Black Owned Brands come together.
Eastside Golf is one of multiple Black owned brands that are focusing on creating products for us to feel more comfortable as we hit the links. Eastside Golf has collabs with Nike and feature a very unique logo on their apparel.
K. Walker Collective is a Detroit based brand of quality street wear and casual clothing. This sweatshirt is unique because of it’s chest pocket to go along with its great construction around the seams.
Healthy on You is a brand of spice blends and they have some awesome collections that are themed and have playlists that go with each of them. There are a lot of different options but I’d look to get started with this set of spices to bring something new to fish and chicken.
Station 1923 is another spice brand that I would like to get into my hands soon. The All The Smoke BBQ Pack can bring flavor to actual grilled foods, but also bring some good flavor to baked and air fried foods too.
The Spice Theory Favorites box seems like the best way to get a tasted of this brands flavor profiles. These seasonings look bold and flavorful with large pieces amongst the ground elements for a new twist for dinner.
I’m not a vegan but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy vegan treats if they are good. Everything you hear about Maya’s Cookies indicates that they are just plain good cookies that happen to be vegan. Maya’s Cookies is known for both their classics, and their frequent specialty releases.
I love a soft cookie and when I found Bell’s Reines cookies I was intrigued. Small, bite sized cookies that are snackable but also soft? Sign me up. Of all of their flavors, the Snickerdoodle has me interested the most at this current moment.
If there is a trend with me, it’s that I like to keep it simple with good products that aren’t too trendy. Tennessee based N.B. Goods has several great designs on top notch materials that will pass the test of time from an aesthetic standpoint. It puts them on my list for sure.
I love sauces too. Finding a new sauce that gives your meals a new flavor is always a great way to bring some variety to your life. The Got Damn Sauce line offers plenty of options and ways to get that variety with barbecue, hot sauce and variations on mambo sauce. I’d like to give it a try.
I’ve been cutting soda pretty much out of my diet for a couple of years now with only an occasional indulgence. Of course, I’d like to make it even easier to get a cold drink and what better way to do it than with a Black owned Tumbler and water bottle brand?
