Swank Desserts is one of the top places on a list of those I want to visit. This Summerville, South Carolina bakery should be on anyone’s list. From pies, to donuts, cupcake, and macaroons, this shop is making some of the most decadent and luscious desserts. Just following their page you will see a multitude of flavors and types of desserts and even breakfast sandwiches. Put this awesome place on your list as well.

In the DMV area, Sugar Vault Desserts is known for its cupcakes. But that’s just the beginning as this Black owned dessert shop has a rotating menu of treats from stuffed cheesecake slices to cookies, banana puddings, and even cinnamon rolls. But you have to be quick if you want to grab your favorite treats from this Hyattsville, MD location.

Dessert Lovers in Atlanta can get their sweet tooth fixed by visiting Cheesecaked. This Black woman owned establishment offers more than just their namesake dessert, though it does offer that in abundance. They have your southern favorites such as Peach Cobbler along with plenty of ice cream and milkshakes. You can even have your party there or take one of their fun decorating classes.

Sometimes, what you want for dessert is the classic. Cake Bar in Dallas, Texas is a black owned bakery known for getting the classic layer cake just right. Visit this bakery and get these classic sweets in slices or buy the whole thing. If you’re not local to the area, you can get a cake shipped to you across the lower 48 states.

Pie lovers rejoice, because I didn’t forget about you. Justice of the Pies is a modern Chicago bakery from Maya-Camille Brousaard. You can go past her new shop for fresh pies or order them online via online specialty food provider Goldbelly.
