Here are some of the Black Owned Brands to Celebrate National Vodka Day.
Highway Vodka
Let’s start with Highway Vodka. There are people who will say they don’t drink vodka because of how it is made. This Vodka brings Hemp Seed to the party. Highway distills their product 6 times so that you still get some of the nuance from the grain and hemp. This gives Highway Vodka its own unique traits. Check out their available locations today and request your favorite bar start to carry Highway Vodka.
Timeless Vodka
Timeless Vodka is a Houston, Texas based Vodka brand that in 2020 earned a Silver Medal at the World Spirits competition in San Francisco. Check your local area for availability for this vodka which is made from Iowa corn.
Island Jon Vodka
Island Jon Vodka brings a Caribbean spirit in every bottle. Founded by father and son duo Levi and Kevin Jon, the brand encompasses decades of world travel and 70 years of Caribbean experience and passion. Right now, distribution is growing with it most recently being added to Total wine locations in Georgia and Texas.
Twelv 31 Vodka
Twelv 31 Vodka was founded by a Howard University alum and 2nd generation Nigerian immigrant in 2017. Unlike a lot of Vodka brands this spirit launched with a a flavored variety that the founder developed almost by accident at a New year’s eve party, hence the name. A couple of years later, a flavorless variety was released and now the brand is growing its footprint within the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Fou-Dre Vodka
The one with “The Bottle”. Fou-Dre Vodka stands out in any bar setting with it’s unique bottle which is made from recycled glass. The name literally reflects the shape, as the word ‘foudre’ is French for lightning. It is also colored with organic ink. Everything about this vodka is thought out including its fusion of flavors designed to be enjoyed solo or as a mixed drink.
